Sydney Sixers win the first KFC Big Bash T20 League

The clash of the Titans - Sydney Sixers vs Perth Scorchers, as expectd, was full of action and drama.

Throughout the series, most of the teams decided to bat on winning the toss - same was the case today as Perth Scorchers chose to bat first. Gibbs and Ronchi both lost their wickets to Bret Lee early on but North, Marsh and Collingwood got their team up to a respectable score of 156/5.

For the Sydney Sixers, their openers did exactly what was the doctor ordered - Henriques hit a solid 70 of just 41 balls including 4 sixes while Keefe did great to support him scoring 48 of 46 balls. A quick fire 21 of 11 balls by Smith helped finish the job as the Sixers reached their target in 18.4 overs with a four.

Sydney Sixers win the first edition of the KFC T20 Big Bash League in style by 7 wickets. Great stuff .....
