Sydney Sixers beat Perth Scorchers by just 1 run

Sydney Sixers won the toss and had elected to bat. While the Sixers lost Hadding and Lumb early on, the middle order did the trick for them. Maddison, Henriques and Smith scored 49, 31 and 51 respectively. The rest of the team failed to deliver as the Sixers scored 176 all out in 20 overs.

For Perth Scorchers, there was only one problem - North who took 52 balls to score his 59. When chasing a target such as 176, this is not acceptable. Both the Marsh brothers and Collingwood got out early  while Katich and Ronchi did some fast last minute hitting to get the Scorchers closer to the Sixers score. However, needing 12 runs in the last over, the Scorchers failed yet again inspite of wides and no-balls by Lee.

Sydney Sixers won the match by one run.
