Sydney Thunder's Gayle single-handedly destroys Adelaide Strikers

Adelaide Strikers had won the toss and elected to bat. However, things didn't go as they had planned right from the start as they kept losing wickets continuously. Their highest scorer was Botha with 41 runs. However, they did manage to score 155/8 thanks to some last minute boundaries.

For Sydney Thunder, they faced the same problem of losing wickets on one end. However, what stood tall and striking at the other end was Chris Gayle, who single-handedly destroyed the Strikers by scoring 100 runs in just 54 balls, his innings comprising of a monstrous 11 sixes. The next highest scorer was Floros with just 17 runs. The 17th over by Borgas proved most expensive as Gayle hit him for 3 huge consecutive sixes.

Sydney Thunder won the match by 6 wickets.
