Melbourne Stars lose to Sydney Sixers by just 2 runs

Sydney Sixers won the toss and had elected to bat first. Bravo did the trick for the Sixers as he score d 51 runs of just 39 balls giving them a good start. However, wickets kept falling at the other end and the Sixers did get into trouble. What saved the Sixers was the last minute hitting by Rohrer and Thornely who scored 29 each in just 19 and 13 balls respectively. They managed to score 166/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

The Melbourne Stars got their start wrong as they loss 2 quick wickets of Wade and Quiney. Hussey and Bailey did their job well by scoring 42 and 33. Vogues hit a quick 31 of 22 runs but when he got out, all hope was lost even as the Stars closed in on the target. It's a shame they couldn't reach the target and finished at 164/8.

Sydney Sixers beat Melbourne Stars by just 2 runs.
