Indian players to play in the Sri Lankan T20 league, but not in BBL ?

The BCCI had made clear that Indian players could play in the upcoming Sri Lankan T20 Premier League, although prior permission would be required. This is good news for the players who are normally playing the domestic circuit in India, in order to get good experience. However, the domestic circuit in India is busy during December and the players will therefore, not be allowed to participate in the Big Bash T20 league which starts in summer. This could mean that no Indian will feature during the BBL, which according to us, will hit the revenues big time as no major Indian sponsor will be interested.

  1. Indian players will not be playing the in Sri Lankan Premier League as per recent BCCI updates. The Sri Lankan League is being run by a company based in Singapore and not by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board, hence no Indian player will be playing in the SLPL.
